2014 in Books: What I’ve been reading

In 2014 I finished reading 70 books (not including unpublished manuscripts I read). Here’s the breakdown. With charts. Because nothing says “professionalism” like charts.

My 70 books came to a total of just over 21,000 pages. Not too shabby, I think. You can see the complete list of books here.

Some little book awards, because why not?

Favorite book boyfriend: Kartik from Libba Bray’s  A Great and Terrible Beauty. With honorable mentions going to Warner from Shatter Me, Chubs from The Darkest Minds, and Cole from Everneath.

Favorite Tear Jerker: Me Before You by JoJo Moyes. Honorable mentions: Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys, Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein, and Wonder by J.R. Palacio.

Character I would want to be best friends with: Jaron from The Shadow Throne by Jennifer Nielsen. Honorable mentions: America from The One, Kenji from Shatter Me, and Lara Jean from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.

Disturbing beyond all reason (in a good way): UnWholly by Neal Shusterman.
